Our Remembrance window at Grindon

The Grindon branch window filled with paper poppies for Remembrance
The Remembrance window at our Grindon branch, featuring poppies made by the Reception class at Grindon Infant School.

At Remembrance the reception class at Grindon Infant School fills the window of our Grindon branch with poppies. They are made out of paper plates and torn red tissue, and there is one on nearly every pane.

Both branch windows are given over to the schools at Remembrance, at Christmas and at Easter. In the middle of this one is the verse that begins “They shall not grow old”.

Fulwell is on 0191 548 7000 and Grindon on 0191 534 8000, any hour, any day of the year.
